User experience
The Symbols library is a collection of commonly used brand identity logos and logotypes (logos, badges, buttons etc) from 3rd party vendors. They have a wide range of uses from e-commerce, marketing, social media, and communications.
Visual design
Each symbol in the library has been carefully crafted (where possible aligning with the pixel grid), optimised and converted to SVG format, which:
- Ensures that the graphic can be resized to any dimension with no loss of quality
- Ensures the highest quality rendering on all devices
- Allows us to style the symbols using code
- Complies with AA accessibility requirements
These symbols are updated when the 3rd party refreshes their brand or adds more sub brands.
Dos and don’ts
- Do ensure that you are using the latest version of the symbol. If the symbol in the Design System is not the latest version please contact us to let us know.
- Avoid changing the symbols (colour, shape etc).
- Avoid using png or jpeg versions of these symbols as quality may be compromised when displayed on high resolution displays etc.
